While working at InstaCarma , we come across the problem of slow connections and slow loading web pages on servers. Server load could be one reason for this latency . Other reasons could be network related issues. We always check the server load, logs etc to ensure that the domains are served properly to customers and use traceroute to resolve the network related issues. Conventional traceroute command doesn’t reveal much information for us to resolve problems effectively.
This is where the tool called MTR or Matt’s TraceRoute comes into the picture. It helps us find out more about the network latency. It combines the traceroute and ping functionalities to provide a powerful network diagnostic tool.
