New cPanel 404 error — The server can not find the requested page

Issue :

While trying to access any IP on a server, following error occurs :

404 Not Found
The server can not find the requested page:
SERVER-IP/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi (port 80)

Solution :

This is a bug in the latest cPanel release. Try either of the following 2 solutions :

1. (Recommended by cPanel)

/scripts/upcp –force
/scripts/autorepair userdir_enable_fix
/scripts/restartsrv_httpd

2. If the above doesn’t resolve the issue then :

Change cPanel to EDGE tree from WHM >> Update Config and run a cPanel update.
/scripts/upcp –force

If none of the above works for you then submit a ticket to cPanel. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff would take care of it!
