Issue :

Error: 553 failed authentication error in Squirrel mail.

Fix :

Get into the configuration file :
/usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail/config/config.php

Change
$useSendmail = false;

to
$useSendmail = true;

This should fix the issue!
